Sachin Malik: India-Africa relations have received a significant boost, with bilateral and Strategic ties between the two sides Gaining further momentum. India Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, undertook an important official visit to the West African nation of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast).
The high-level visit was undertaken at the special invitation of the Government of Côte d’Ivoire, Where the Indian Minister of State represented India as the ‘Guest of Honour’ at the country 66th National Day Celebrations.
According to a Statement issued by India Ministry of External Affairs, during the visit, the Minister witnessed the Participation of a marching contingent of the Indian Armed Forces in the National Day Parade. Singh also held important discussions on bilateral relations with Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and meet with the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.
The discussions covered all aspects of bilateral relations, including economic and development cooperation, defence and security collaboration and People-to-People ties. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further Strengthening the multifaceted India-Côte d’Ivoire Partnership.
An important Part of the visit was the Minister interaction with the Indian community in Abidjan. He reiterated the Government of India continued commitment to the welfare, safety and well-being of Indian citizens and the Indian diaspora living abroad.
The visit Provided a valuable opportunity to further Strengthen the momentum in India-Côte d’Ivoire relations. The warm welcome extended to the Minister of State and the Indian Armed Forces contingent reflected the depth of goodwill and friendship between the two countries.
The visit is expected to give further impetus to the Growing India-Côte d’Ivoire partnership as Part of Indias broader engagement with Africa.
