Sachin Malik: The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has updated its house tax Portal, enabling taxpayers to deposit house tax both online and at zonal offices. Along with a 20% rebate on house tax, an additional 10% rebate is being Provided for waste segregation, while a 2% rebate is available on online Payments.
In addition, buildings older than 10 Years will receive a 25% rebate, buildings between 10 to 20 Years old will get a 32.5% rebate, and buildings older than 20 years will be eligible for a 40% rebate upon submission of relevant documents. These updates have also been incorporated into the Portal. Furthermore, the 12% interest normally Charged on dues will not be imposed for three months. Taxpayers are being appealed to take advantage of these rebates and deposit their house Tax.
As Per rules, rebates are being Provided by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation on both residential and non-residential Properties. Taxpayers can avail themselves of these benefits either by visiting zonal offices or through online Payment.
Under the directions of Mayor Sunita Dayal and Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, all zonal departments have been instructed to spread complete awareness among taxpayers regarding the available rebates. Along with municipal officials, regional councillors are also making People aware in their respective zones about the discounts available on house tax. Zonal In-Charges and their teams have been directed to ensure that taxpayers receive accurate information regarding the major Changes in house tax and the updated Portal facilities.
The Municipal Commissioner has appealed to taxpayers to Clear their Pending house tax dues While availing the benefits of the rebate Schemes. Keeping in view the convenience of respected taxpayers, special Public hearings related to house tax matters are also being conducted daily at zonal offices. Citizens are being encouraged to contact the concerned officials directly in case of any confusion or Queries. A large number of taxpayers are visiting zonal offices to deposit their house Tax.
