Sachin Malik: Following the directions Issued by the Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik Presented an action Plan in the Presence of District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandad to make the city dust-free and reduce air Pollution. Officials from the Ghaziabad Development Authority, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department, UPSIDA and Housing Development Council were instructed to launch a campaign for making roads dust-free and Pothole-free as Per the Action Plan. Chief Development Officer Kumar Saurabh was also specially Present in the Meeting.
The District Magistrate Stated that along with the major entry Points of Ghaziabad, key roads are also being systematically improved. He directed that roads and routes not maintained by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, but under departments Such as the Housing Development Council, Public Works Department or others, Should also be jointly worked upon. Officials were instructed to conduct joint field inspections. Formats were also Provided to all departments for ensuring roads become completely dust-free and for reducing air Pollution, with directions to carry out the work Accordingly.
The Municipal Commissioner informed that the campaign to make Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation roads dust-free is continuously underway. Road sweeping work is being carried out daily using advanced equipment. All roads under the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation are Pothole-free. Dust removal is being done through MRS machines and road Sweeping machines, While regular water sprinkling is also continuing through water sprinklers. Additionally, the Municipal Corporation Periodically conducts mega campaigns on major roads. Other departments were also asked to undertake Similar special campaigns in their respective areas to make roads dust-free and the corporation assured full cooperation in this effort.
During the meeting, discussions were held with all departments for Preparing the annual action Plan. It was also discussed that a joint campaign involving teams from all departments would be carried out to reduce air Pollution. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to Provide data related to end-to-end road Paving, greenery development, water sprinkling and other related works already Undertaken.
