Sachin Malik: Ghaziabad Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik held a meeting with officials and teams from the Horticulture and Construction Departments to enhance the city Greenery and beautification efforts.
Chief Engineer (Construction) Narendra Kumar Chaudhary, In-Charge Horticulture Dr. Anuj, along with junior engineers, executive engineers and supervisors from both departments, were Present in the meeting. The Municipal Commissioner directed the team to undertake special initiatives to increase greenery and improve the city appearance. He also instructed horticulture officials to Strengthen monitoring regarding the attendance and functioning of Gardeners.
The Municipal Commissioner Stated that along with Cleanliness, beautifying the city is also a Priority for the corporation. In this regard, joint action by the Construction and Horticulture Departments was directed. Instructions were issued for trimming trees and Plants on green belts and central verges, increasing water sprinkling in view of the heat and ensuring regular watering of Grass, trees and Plants in Parks. The Construction Department was directed to carry out repair and maintenance work in central verges, green belts and Parks. Special emphasis was also laid on increasing greenery at major intersections and Public Places.
The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation was instructed to identify locations for Plantation work before the arrival of the monsoon season. The Municipal Commissioner specifically directed the team to enhance greenery at Mohan Nagar Chowk, Kavi Nagar Chowk, Vasundhara Chowk, Indirapuram Chowk, City Zone Chowk and Vijay Nagar Chowk. The Horticulture Department was asked to give Ghaziabad a new look by developing flower beds and Promoting Greenery. Officials were also instructed to Provide special training to supervisors and gardeners so that greenery becomes the city Identity.
The Horticulture Department was further directed to ensure that tubewells remain operational in all Parks and green belts under all circumstances. Officials were also instructed to increase monitoring so that maintenance contractors do not Show negligence in upkeep Work.
