Assam Panchayat and Rural Development Department Minister Atul Bora held a detailed review of the implementation of the department first 100-day action Plan with senior officials of the department at Janta Bhawan in Dispur on Monday, May 25. The meeting was the first review meeting held after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over the Portfolio to Asom Gana Parishad President Atul Bora, one of the Allies of the BJP alliance. The Progress made in the implementation of several ambitious Schemes, including the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneurship Campaign, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), was discussed in the meeting. Minister Atul Bora said that the Steps taken to improve the quality of life of the People in rural areas will continue to be monitored and all the officers should work with full readiness to implement the Schemes effectively within the time limit. The officials briefed on the recent initiatives under ASRLM, early filling up of vacant Posts, Strengthening the Service delivery system and Strategies to reduce NPA by improving faulty accounts and institutional capacity. The meeting also Stressed on financial discipline and ensuring the Soundness of collective institutions. The Minister requested all the senior officers Present to work in a Planned and coordinated manner to complete the 100-day Programme within the Stipulated time frame and to immediately Plug any Gaps in implementation. The meeting was attended by the department Additional Chief Secretary Dr. B. Kalyan Chakraborty, Commissioner Kirti Jalli, Special Secretary Munindra Sharma, Secretary Pushpanjali Das, Gautam Das, Arup Kumar Sharma, ASRLM Managing Director Kuntalmani Sharma Bordoloi and Joint Secretary Architra Sonwal and other Senior Officials.
