Sachin Lucknow: The death anniversary of the great saint Gadge, who inspired the promotion of cleanliness as a movement in India, was celebrated at the Apna Dal (S) camp office on Saturday. On this occasion, party officials paid tribute to the great saint by offering flowers to his portrait. This information was provided by State spokesperson Rajesh Srivastava.
The party spokesperson stated that on this occasion, party officials shared their thoughts on the life and struggles of the great saint Gadge. They said that he was a great social reformer and a kirtankar saint. He initiated public awareness campaigns against blind faith and stereotypes from a young age. He dedicated his life to serving the Dalits, the poor and the underprivileged. He was a strong advocate of cleanliness, education and social equality. He spoke out against superstitions, animal sacrifice and untouchability and through activities like “Shramdan” and “Swachhata Abhiyan” (cleanliness campaigns), he gave a new direction to society.
He said that the party National General Secretary R.B. Singh, K.K. Patel, National Secretary Vinod Gangwar, State President Jatav R.P. Gautam, Lucknow Metropolitan President Sachchidanand Patel, Minister of State with Independent Charge Rekha Patel, National Secretary of the Youth Forum Sanjeev Singh Rathore, State Spokesperson Rajesh Srivastava and other officials were present on the occasion.
