Sachin Malik Ghaziabad: Under the Removal of Legacy Dust & Solid/Horticulture Waste Abhiyan, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation carried out a special Cleanliness drive across all five municipal zones, including the Shyam Park Metro Station.
The campaign was led by Saenior officials from the Health Department, Horticulture Department and Water Works Department, Who actively Participated on the Ground to ensure its successful Implementation.
During the drive, accumulated legacy dust and horticultural waste were removed, collected in special dust waste bags, and transported for scientific disposal. To control airborne dust, anti-smog machines and water sprinklers were deployed, helping reduce dust Pollution and improve the overall environment. Dust and debris accumulated around metro Pillars were also Cleaned using Dulevo Suction Machines.
Municipal Health Officer Dr. Mithilesh Stated that a city-wide mega campaign was undertaken to make roads dust-free with active Public Participation. Both manual methods and advanced mechanized equipment were used to remove even the oldest layers of dust from roads, while regular water Sprinkling was carried out to suppress dust. The campaign was conducted daily from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
The drive covered several key locations across the city:
Mohan Nagar Zone: From Shyam Park Metro Station to the Delhi border.
Indirapuram Zone: Neeti Khand-III.
Kavi Nagar Zone: Govindpuram.
Vijaynagar Zone: From Tigri Roundabout to Akbarpur Baharampur Road.
City Zone: From Bhatia Pul to Lal Kuan.
Approximately 1.5 tonnes of dust were removed from the roads and sent for Proper Disposal.
Under the Guidance of Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation carried out this special initiative to ensure Cleaner, more organized and aesthetically improved Public spaces. The corporation reaffirmed its commitment to keeping the city Clean, beautiful, and Pollution-free.
The campaign was also attended by Dr. Anuj, In-Charge of the Horticulture Department, Kamakhya Prasad Anand, General Manager of the Water Works Department and the Construction Department team. Working in coordination with the Swachh Bharat Mission team, they also undertook Cleaning of the city Green belt areas as Part of the Initiative.
