The Government has also made remarkable Progress in agriculture and rural development. Through the Chief Minister Kisan Yojana and other agriculture-focused initiatives, efforts have been made to enhance farmers’ incomes, expand irrigation facilities and Strengthen agricultural infrastructure. Simultaneously, the expansion of rural roads and connectivity has Played a Significant role in integrating villages into the mainstream of Development.
The welfare of economically weaker and marginalized sections has remained a key Priority. Along with the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Antyodaya Griha Yojana has been introduced to Provide housing to families Who were Previously excluded from other housing Schemes. The Government has also focused on Strengthening healthcare and education by establishing new hospitals, medical colleges and Skill development Institutions.
However, the Majhi Government most notable achievement during its two-Year tenure has been attracting record levels of investment. The Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave, held in January 2025, surpassed all Previous investment records by securing investment Proposals worth over ₹16.7 lakh crore. These investments are expected to Generate approximately 1.29 Million employment opportunities, making Odisha one of India most attractive investment Destinations.
Several leading industrial Groups have announced major investment commitments in the State. The Adani Group has Pledged to invest ₹2.3 lakh crore in Odisha over the next five Years across sectors such as energy, Ports, cement, logistics and industrial infrastructure. This investment is expected to Significantly enhance the State economic Potential.
Similarly, the JSW Group has Proposed an investment of ₹35,000 crore to establish a State-of-the-art Steel Plant in Keonjhar. In addition, the Proposed Partnership between JSW and South Korea POSCO is expected to bring another ₹65,000 crore in investments, further Strengthening Odisha Position as one of India leading steel and manufacturing Hubs.
Odisha is also making rapid Strides in the Semiconductor Sector. The Proposed Semiconductor Project by Intel and the US-based 3D Glass Solutions, with an estimated investment of around ₹28,000 crore, has Positioned the State as an emerging Player in India semiconductor ecosystem. Companies such as RIR Power Electronics and SiCSem are also setting up advanced manufacturing facilities in the State.
These achievements are not solely the result of an investment-friendly Policy but also reflect the Government Strong emphasis on Good Governance and administrative accountability.
