Sachin Malik: The Lucknow Municipal Corporation is continuously working towards making the city Clean, Green and modern. In this regard, Uttar Pradesh Urban Development and Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma inaugurated a State-of-the-art FCTS Plant at Bhainsora in Zone-4 today. Constructed at a cost of approximately ₹9 crore, the Plant has the capacity to Process around 150 tonnes of waste daily. Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal and Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar were also Present on the Occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that the Municipal Corporation is making constant efforts to Strengthen the sanitation system through technology-driven and environment-friendly Initiatives.
Minister A.K. Sharma has been consistently carrying out several important development works for Lucknow. Continuous efforts are being made to resolve issues related to water supply, drainage and waterlogging during rains. The long-Pending drain construction work in Faizullaganj has been completed, Providing major relief to local residents, While the construction of the Qila Mohammadi drain Project is set to begin Soon.
On the occasion, the minister emphasized that no garbage heaps Should be visible anywhere in Lucknow and daily Waste disposal must be ensured regularly. The Municipal Corporation is continuously working to make Lucknow a Clean, beautiful, Green and modern city so that every visitor is impressed by its Cleanliness and Greenery.
The Municipal Corporation has identified 51 locations across 8 zones for the construction of PCTS and FCTS facilities. Out of these, work has been completed at 24 sites, construction is underway at 15 Sites and work on the remaining 12 Sites will begin Shortly.
The operation of the Bhainsora Plant will Strengthen waste collection and disposal systems in Bharwara Ward, Malhour Ward, Khargapur Ward and Gomti Nagar Extension, along with nearby areas. It will also help eliminate all nearby GVP (Garbage Vulnerable Points).
Developed over an area of nearly two acres, the facility also includes Charging Points for around 150 vehicles, Promoting the use of Electric Vehicles. In addition, ample space has been developed for green belts and landscaping and nearly 4,000 saplings have already been Planted within the Premises.
