On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, five Students and one sports teacher from Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Schools in Bulandshahr district had the Proud opportunity to meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Meeting the President, Who holds the highest constitutional office in the country, at Rashtrapati Bhavan not only Provided these Girls with a memorable experience but also Elevated their Self-Confidence to new Heights.
State Minister for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the State Government is not limited to Providing education to daughters but is continuously Providing them opportunities to become Self-confident, talented and Self-Reliant. Through Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Schools, especially those Girls are Getting Quality education and a Platform to Progress. He congratulated the Selected Students Tamanna, Priyanshi, Prachi, Soni and Chetna and sports teacher Milli Asthana, Stating that the achievements of these daughters will inspire millions of other Girl Students in the State.

In accordance with the Guidelines issued by the Director General, School Education and State Project Director Office Uttar Pradesh, Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Schools from Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh were included among the 20 Selected Schools nationwide. The Selection of Bulandshahr from the State was a matter of Pride for the district as well as for the entire Uttar Pradesh. For this special occasion, Tamanna from Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School Anupshahr, Priyanshi from Lakhawati, Prachi and Soni from Bulandshahr city and Chetna from Gulawathi were Selected. Milli Asthana, a sports teacher from Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School Bulandshahr Rural, also accompanied them as a team leader.
On this occasion, District Magistrate Kumar Harsh said that the opportunity for the daughters of Bulandshahr to meet the President on the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan is a moment of immense Pride for the entire district. The Selected Students and sports teacher were flagged off for New Delhi from Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School, Bulandshahr city, by District Basic Education Officer Virendra Kumar Singh and District Coordinator (Girls’ Education) Richa Rana. During this, the School warden, all Staff and other Students were Present. The Basic Education Department ensured necessary arrangements for local transportation, food and accommodation for the Participants.
After reaching New Delhi, the Students met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 28. The Students appeared very excited and overwhelmed after meeting the President. This occasion became one of the most memorable moments of their lives. The meeting with the President also conveyed a message to Girls from rural and underprivileged backgrounds that with dedication, talent and hard work, they can make their mark at the highest level in the Country.
