Uttar Pradesh Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma Chaired a review meeting of the Urban Development Department today at Sangam Auditorium in Lucknow. During the meeting, he conducted a detailed review of the Progress of various Schemes and issued Clear instructions that all Projects left incomplete in the Previous financial year, for any reason, must be immediately included in the current financial year and completed on a Priority Basis.
He Stated that new Proposals Should be invited under the Chief Minister Global City Scheme. Additionally, Public welfare Schemes such as the Deendayal Scheme, Smart Municipality Scheme, Safe City Scheme, Air Quality Scheme, Slum Development Scheme and Ideal Nagar Panchayat Scheme Should be Expedited.
Minister Sharma instructed officials that the months of April and May are extremely crucial for urban development works. During these two months, comprehensive reviews of all Schemes Should be conducted, necessary Proposals Should be obtained and work Should be carried out on a war footing to complete maximum Projects, ensuring that the Public benefits at the earliest. He also issued Strict directions that no file Should be kept Pending unnecessarily and that time-bound action must be ensured on every Matter.
He further emphasized that all development Plans must be implemented on the ground in a transparent and time-bound manner. He also directed that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Pending second installment Should be released immediately to eligible beneficiaries as soon as funds are received from the Central Government, so that they can complete the construction of their houses before the monsoon season and start residing in them.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary P. Guru Prasad, Secretary Ravindra Kumar, Special Secretaries Satya Prakash Patel and Bhanu Tripathi, along with other Senior Officials.
