Sachin Malik: Sant Shiromani Ravidas 650th Birth anniversary is being commemorated by the State Government through various Programmes aimed at taking his message of social harmony, equality and brotherhood to the People. As Part of these initiatives, Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma will visit Dohrighat in Mau district on Friday, August 14, where he will lay the foundation Stone for the renovation of the Sant Ravidas Temple. He will also Participate in the Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan.
The Sant Ravidas Temple at Dohrighat is being renovated under the Urban Development Department Vandan Yojana. The Project is estimated to cost approximately ₹1.82 crore. The renovation will Provide better facilities to devotees and Give the important religious and social Site a more Grand, organised and attractive Appearance.
Minister A.K. Sharma said that Sant Shiromani Ravidas conveyed the message of equality, brotherhood and humanity through his life and teachings. His ideals continue to inspire society to remain united and Strengthen social harmony. The State Government is continuously working to uphold Sant Ravidas ideals While ensuring the respect, upliftment and Participation of every section of Society.
He said that under the Guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the State Government is Giving Priority to the Preservation and development of religious, spiritual and historical Sites. Through the Vandan Yojana, such sites are being renovated and beautified, helping Preserve the country cultural heritage While Providing better facilities to devotees and the General Public.
Minister Sharma said that the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas is not merely an occasion to remember his life and contributions, but also an opportunity to imbibe his message of equality, social justice and an inclusive society in our lives. Through the Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan, the spirit of mutual brotherhood and harmony in society will be further Strengthened.
