Mumbai-Based UP Migrants Meet Akhilesh Yadav, Pledge Support for SP in 2027 Assembly Elections

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav met a delegation of People from various districts of Uttar Pradesh currently residing in Mumbai at the Party State Head Quarters on Vikramaditya Marg on Saturday. The delegation Pledged its Wholehearted Support—through their time, Efforts and resources—to help the Samajwadi Party Secure victory in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections.

The Meeting of Mumbai-based migrants from Uttar Pradesh was organized by Kashinath Yadav, National President of the Samajwadi Cultural Cell. Maharashtra Samajwadi Party President Abu Asim Azmi was also Present on the Occasion.

Welcoming the visitors, Akhilesh Yadav Praised their hard work, Courage and dedication, Saying they had successfully established their identity despite living in a metropolitan city like Mumbai. He appealed to them to return to Uttar Pradesh during the Election Period and actively support the Party Campaign. The attendees assured him that they would extend full support to the Samajwadi Party during the Elections.

Akhilesh Yadav expressed confidence that the PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority) alliance would form the Government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027. Referring to the Party Performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, he said the Samajwadi Party was optimistic of securing victory in the upcoming Assembly Polls as well. He urged Party workers to enroll more members and Strengthen the organization at the booth level.

He also said that the 2027 Assembly Election would be crucial for Safeguarding democracy and the Constitution. Alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was attempting to weaken regional Parties to secure a majority, he Claimed this was aimed at enabling arbitrary Changes to constitutional Principles.

On the issue of women reservation, Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP, asserting that the Samajwadi Party has consistently supported women reservation, While accusing the BJP of misleading the Public on the Matter.

Referring to the controversy surrounding offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, he also targeted the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), alleging that the dispute over the temple offerings had exposed several Issues.

Among those Present at the meeting were R.N. Yadav, Jitendra Yadav, Subhash Yadav, Nisar Khan, Anil Yadav, Jeevan Lal Yadav, Gyan Devi, Poonam Yadav, Paras Nath, Vijay Yadav, Chandrakant Maurya, Anand Chaurasia, Suresh Yadav, film actor Pappu Yadav, Ram Dulare Yadav and a large number of Mumbai-based migrants from Uttar Pradesh.
