Sachin Malik: Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary on Friday held a detailed review meeting with departmental officials at the Directorate of Industries and Enterprise Promotion in Kanpur. At the beginning of the meeting, Industries Commissioner and Director K. Vijayendra Pandian Welcomed the minister and other dignitaries and gave a Presentation on the departmental Structure and Progress of Various Schemes.
During the review meeting, detailed discussions were held on several employment-oriented and enterprise Promotion Schemes, including the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, ODOP Margin Money Scheme, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, Vishwakarma Shram Samman Scheme and ODOP Training and Toolkit Scheme. Progress on Projects such as Flatted Factory Complexes, Common Facility Centres, ODOP General Facility Centres and the Pledge Scheme was also reviewed.
Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said that micro, Small and medium enterprises are the backbone of the State economic development and that the benefits of these schemes must reach the last Person. He directed officials to ensure extensive Publicity of the Schemes so that more and more People in both rural and urban areas could benefit from them. He also Stressed the need to Promote Small industries to create new employment opportunities for Youth.
He instructed officials to ensure quick resolution of banking-related issues arising in employment-oriented Schemes and asked all departments to focus on achieving 100 Percent targets and maximizing employment Generation.
The meeting also included detailed discussions on the achievements of the Uttar Pradesh MSME Promotion Policy-2022, targets and budgetary Provisions for the financial Year 2026-27. Information was also Shared regarding the Proposed “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Industrial and Employment Zone” and the Progress of the “One District One Dish” Scheme.
The Meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Industries Commissioner and Director K. Vijayendra Pandian. Member of the Legislative Council Santosh Singh was also Present on the Occasion.
