Union Budget, 2026 is a strong cornerstone of the concept of inclusive growth and Developed India.
Uttar Pradesh: Reacting to the Union Budget, 2026, Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K Sharma described it as a strong cornerstone for realizing the vision of inclusive growth and developed India. He said that this budget is one that takes all sections of society– the poor, middle class, youth, traders and urban-rural population-along, with special priority given to social justice, Economic Empowerment and integrated Development.
Sharma Met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his special gratitude for this Public welfare budget. After meeting the Prime Minister, Minister Sharma also met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary and expressed his gratitude to them for giving special priority to Uttar Pradesh. Minister Sharma said that under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the country is making continuous progress towards a developed India from a self-reliant India. The provisions made in the budget reflect the government clear thinking and long-term development Strategy.
Regarding the provisions related to solar energy in the budget, the Energy Minister said that the exemption of sodium antimonite, the main component of solar glass, from custom duty will significantly accelerate the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. This will not only boost clean energy but also accelerate the country towards achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi net zero Target.
The Urban Development and Energy Minister Said that the Provisions of the Central Government to promote municipal bonds will make urban bodies self-reliant. This will strengthen their financial position, increase private and institutional investment in development projects and enable comprehensive expansion of infrastructure in cities. The increase in fund allocation for Tier-2 and Tier-3 category cities in the budget will boost infrastructure development in about 45 cities of Uttar Pradesh, Sharma said. This will further empower efforts to develop emerging cities in line with global standards. He said that the provisions of the Union Budget will provide an opportunity to every citizen to realize the dream of a paved house through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Shahari 2.0.
Sharma said that the Union Budget, 2026 has given special importance to the all-round development of Uttar Pradesh. This will give new impetus to industrial investment, employment generation and urban-rural balanced development, further empowering Uttar Pradesh as the country growth engine. This budget is going to connect the people standing at the bottom of the society with the concept of developed India and will be a milestone in achieving the goals of inclusive development, self-reliant India and developed India.
