Sachin Malik: An Interdepartmental meeting was held in the Collectorate Auditorium under the Chairmanship of the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar to ensure the effective implementation of the Communicable Disease Control Campaign and the Dastak Campaign.
Reviewing the Preparations, the District Magistrate directed all concerned departments to work in Close coordination and ensure that all campaign activities are carried out effectively within the Stipulated Timeline.
The District Magistrate instructed the Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to launch special Preventive drives in areas vulnerable to dengue and malaria. He emphasized the need to Eliminate waterlogging, mosquito breeding sites and other Potential causes of vector-borne diseases at the earliest. He also directed that extensive Public awareness campaigns be conducted to educate citizens about Preventive measures against communicable diseases and encourage community Participation.
He further directed all departments to implement daily activities as Per the approved micro-Plan. Regular reviews of departmental Progress Should be conducted and effective coordination must be maintained throughout the campaign to ensure that no negligence occurs at any level.
During the meeting, the District Malaria Officer informed that the Communicable Disease Control Campaign will be conducted across the district from July 1 to July 31, 2026, While the Dastak Campaign will run from July 11 to July 31, 2026. The campaign will involve active Participation from the Panchayati Raj Department, Education Department, Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority, YEIDA, Municipal Bodies, Animal Husbandry Department, Agriculture Department and the Department of Child Development and Nutrition.
She also informed that the Stop Diarrhoea Campaign has been introduced as a new component this Year. Under this initiative, frontline health workers will carry ORS Packets and zinc tablets so that Symptomatic individuals can receive immediate treatment and support during field Visits.
She further Stated that ASHA workers will conduct door-to-door visits to identify individuals Showing symptoms of fever, Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), Suspected Tuberculosis (TB), Leprosy, Filariasis and diarrhoeal Diseases. Their details will be uploaded to the e-Kavach Portal and eligible beneficiaries will also be Provided with ABHA ID to facilitate timely access to healthcare Services.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Bhal Chandra Tripathi, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Jewar) Durgesh Singh, Deputy Collector Abhay Kumar Singh, District Immunization Officer R.K. Siroha, District Malaria Officer Shruti Kirti Verma and other district-level Officials.
