Sachin Malik Noida: In a significant breakthrough, the Sector 39 Police team arrested two alleged criminals following a Police Encounter near the forest area Close to Stellar Green Park on the night of October 15, 2026. The accused, identified as Salman, Son of Ayyub and Tanveer, son of Mainuddin, are allegedly involved in Chain-Snatching and other criminal activities across the Delhi-NCR Region.
According to the Police, the arrests were made during routine Checking of suspicious Persons and vehicles. During the operation, the Police recovered two illegal .315-bore country-made Pistols, two empty cartridges, two live cartridges, ₹2,19,000 in cash allegedly linked to Chain-Snatching incidents, and a Stolen Royal Enfield motorcycle bearing registration number DL3SFT9244.
The motorcycle was reportedly used in the commission of the offences and is linked to FIR No. 21530/2026 registered at Jagatpuri Police Station in Shahdara, Delhi.
Accused Allegedly Targeted Pedestrians in Delhi-NCR
During interrogation, the accused allegedly disclosed that they used to ride motorcycles and target Pedestrians to Snatch their Chains in different Parts of Delhi-NCR. They would Subsequently sell the Stolen Chains to Passers-by or acquaintances and spend the Proceeds on their Personal expenses and lifestyle.
The accused also allegedly carried illegal firearms to avoid being caught during their criminal activities. The Police are investigating their Possible involvement in other Chain-Snatching and theft cases in the Region.
Details of the Arrested Accused
1. Salman, son of Ayyub: Approximately 30 Years old, resident of Mohanpuri, Noore Ilahi Colony, under Bhajanpura Police Station, Delhi.
2. Tanveer, son of Mainuddin: Approximately 37 Years old, resident of Subhash Vihar, North Ghonda, under Bhajanpura Police Station, Delhi.
Recovery Details
The Police reported the following recoveries from the accused:
1. Two illegal .315-bore country-made Pistols.
2. Two Empty Cartridges.
3. Two live Cartridges.
