Firozabad: A public awareness programme was organised under Operation Jagriti Phase–5 on Sunday at Nimbu Wala Bagh, Gali No. 1, in the Rasoolpur police station area. The primary objective of the programme was to prevent incidents of elopement involving young boys and girls and to sensitise them about the adverse consequences of such actions.
During the programme, police officials educated the participants about the social, familial and legal complications arising from such cases. Information regarding various helpline numbers available for immediate assistance was also shared.
The programme was attended by Woman Sub-Inspector Alka Rani, Sub-Inspector Hakim Singh, Head Constable Netrapal Singh and Home Guard Satya Prakash from the police department.
A total of 90 people participated in the awareness drive, including 30 men, 15 women, 20 girls below the age of 18 and 25 boys below the age of 18.
Police officials appealed to the public to contact the police immediately in case of any problem instead of taking the law into their own hands, ensuring timely and lawful resolution.
