Rahul Upadhyay Bahraich: With the objective of strengthening and streamlining the public distribution system, the construction work of an Annapurna Bhawan has been completed in Gram Panchayat Bhaktapur Gulhariya under Development Block Nawabganj. The newly constructed Annapurna Bhawan was inaugurated on Sunday by retired Principal of Jawaharlal Nehru National Inter College, Siddhnath Pathak, by cutting the ribbon.
It is noteworthy that Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nanpara, Monalisa Jauhari had issued directives for the construction of Annapurna Bhawans for each fair price shop in Development Block Nawabganj. Under this initiative, instructions were given to select gram panchayats for the construction of six fair price shop buildings under the MGNREGA scheme and one shop under the departmental budget with proposals to be forwarded through the Land Management Committee so that budget demands could be raised and construction work started at the earliest. In this sequence, the Annapurna Bhawan in Gram Panchayat Bhaktapur Gulhariya has been successfully completed.
On the occasion of the inauguration, Gram Pradhan Representative Ashish Kumar Pandey, along with Kehar Singh, Jagdish Singh, Ajay Kumar Pandey, Kailash, Kapil Dev, Baur, Chet Ram, Bage Khan, Ram Surat, Iqrar Alam Khan, Siyaram Verma, Swami Dayal, Bar Association President Siddhnath Pathak, former Principal Jagdish Singh, Buddhiman Singh, Mahesh Pathak, Ram Gopal Sharma, Shiv Kumar Pathak, fair price shop dealer Makhan Lal Verma and several other distinguished villagers were present.
Addressing the gathering, Gram Pradhan Representative Ashish Kumar Pandey stated that with the construction of the Annapurna Bhawan, the ration distribution system in the gram panchayat will now be conducted in a more transparent, secure and organized manner, ensuring timely availability of food grains to eligible beneficiaries.
