Sachin Malik: To Ensure the availability of Safe and Quality food and beverages for residents of the district, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, under the directions of the Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttar Pradesh Lucknow and the District Magistrate, has been conducting inspection drives and collecting food samples from spice manufacturing units and other food establishments for laboratory Testing.
In this ongoing campaign, Assistant Commissioner (Food-II) Sarvesh Mishra informed that food safety teams are actively inspecting spice manufacturing units to ensure the supply of Pure and Quality spices and other food Products to the Public.
Food Safety Officers Vijay Bahadur Patel and Ravindra Nath Verma collected one sample each of loose turmeric Powder and Packed turmeric Powder from Anjana Mill, located in Dankaur, Greater Noida.
Food Safety Officer Ritu Saxena collected one sample each of loose asafoetida (hing) and Packed asafoetida from Rakesh Masale Sector 63.
Food Safety Officer Mukesh Kumar collected one sample each of loose turmeric and Packed turmeric from Brahm Arpan Organics Pvt. Ltd. located in Site-C, Surajpur Industrial Area.
A team comprising Food Safety Officers S.K. Pandey and O.P. Singh collected one sample each of loose asafoetida and Packed asafoetida from Dhamija Grinder, located at Dhoom Manikpur, Dadri. They also collected one sample each of loose coriander Powder and Packed coriander Powder from RSK Foods & Spices Pvt. Ltd.
A total of 10 spice Samples were collected from various manufacturing units and are being sent to the laboratory for Quality Analysis.
The Assistant Commissioner further Stated that such inspection drives and sample collection campaigns will continue in the future to ensure that residents of the district receive food and beverage Products that meet the Prescribed Safety and Quality Standards.
