Sachin Malik: Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ on Thursday held a review meeting with officials at the PICUP Bhawan auditorium regarding development works of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), ongoing Schemes and the industrial zones being developed along the expressway. During the meeting, Minister Nandi instructed officials to bring Changes in their working Style, adopt a corporate culture, set targets for their work independently and improve the repair and maintenance of damaged Roads.
While reviewing the Projects, Minister Nandi said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the inauguration of the Noida International Airport at Jewar will transform the entire region into a significant cargo hub. In such a situation, the responsibilities of all officers and employees of YEIDA have increased and they must work with complete dedication for the development of the Region.
Officials informed the minister that several important Steps are being taken to ensure faster connectivity between Delhi and Jewar Airport through rail and rapid rail networks. The DPR of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Project connecting Delhi to Jewar Airport has been approved by the State government and sent to the Union Ministry of Urban Affairs. Additionally, the Ministry of Railways is Preparing a DPR to connect the industrial sectors of YEIDA and Jewar Airport with the Chola-Sandhi rail line. Provision has also been made in the DPR to connect the future Delhi–Varanasi High-Speed Rail corridor to the airport terminal through a dedicated Station, which would reduce travel time from Delhi to just 21 Minutes.
The meeting further highlighted that the Yamuna Expressway is being connected with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway as well as other major expressways of the State, including the Bundelkhand Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Ganga Expressway. This makes the region unique from a connectivity Perspective.
Minister Nandi directed officials to ensure that farmers receive compensation for land acquisition through an online fast-mode system. He also instructed that a mechanism be developed so that People do not have to run from office to office to obtain NOC for maps and approvals. He emphasized making Plot-Related information live online and directed that authority employees be trained in Artificial Intelligence (AI), considering its growing importance in the Present and future.
Officials informed the minister that a master Plan for Hathras is being Prepared and an urban city will be developed there. After Hathras, the Yamuna Expressway will be extended up to Agra. Plans were also Shared for developing an urban city over 4,700 acres of land in Tappal-Bajna.
The YEIDA region is also witnessing the establishment of North India largest HCL-Foxconn Semiconductor Chip manufacturing unit, along with the development of the region largest Electronics manufacturing Cluster. Industrial Parks such as Apparel Park, Medical Device Park, Toy Park, MSME Park, Handicraft Park and Data Park are boosting industrialization. Improved connectivity and the Presence of Jewar Airport have also created a Positive investment environment in the authority area and the NCR region, which is considered a major achievement of the authority 25-year journey. In the coming years, industrial infrastructure and Structural development in the authority region will further expand, generating employment opportunities and Promoting manufacturing and Exports.
