Sachin Malik: Under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal, the 17th meeting of the State-Level High-Powered Steering Committee was held, where various Projects under the AMRUT 2.0 Scheme were discussed. During the meeting, a total of 11 Projects related to drinking water and reservoirs (sewerage/water conservation) were approved. The total estimated cost of these 11 Projects, including Centage, is ₹63,340.79 lakh.
In the drinking water sector, three Projects under Tranche-2 and one Project under Tranche-3 were Presented. The total estimated cost of these Projects (including Centage) is ₹61,022 lakh.
Under the Special Tranche, seven reservoir-related Projects were Presented, with a total estimated cost (including centage) of ₹2,318.70 lakh. Major Projects include the development of Bharwaliya Pond and Shahpur Pond under Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation: development of a Pond near Madhiyon Mata Devi Temple in Raebareli Nagar Palika Parishad, development of Bigha Pond in Suriyaava (Bhadohi), development of Amrit Sarovar in Dhundhera under Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, development of a Pond in Jankipuram Ward-02 (Sahara State) under Lucknow Municipal Corporation and development of Saidua Pond in Fatehpur (Barabanki) Nagar Panchayat.
Under drinking water Projects, Schemes include: the Bakshi Ka Talab Nagar Panchayat drinking water Scheme (Lucknow), drinking water expansion Scheme in Cluster-3 (Kazipura, Shivpura, Tulsipur and Birdopur) Covering 18 highly affected wards of Varanasi Municipal Corporation, drinking water Schemes for Haiderganj III, Alamnagar and Kesharikheda wards under District-D of Lucknow Municipal Corporation and a drinking water Scheme in Rajapur Nagar Panchayat (Chitrakoot).
Upon completion of all these Projects, approximately 80,000 household connections will be Provided, ensuring improved drinking water facilities for citizens and strengthening urban water infrastructure.
The meeting was also attended by Principal Secretary Urban Development P. Guru Prasad and other senior Officials.
