Sachin Malik: A Meeting of the Local Level Committee was held today under the Chairmanship of the District Magistrate at the Collectorate to review and approve legal Guardianship applications for Persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the National Trust Act, 1999.
The initiative, undertaken by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, aims to Provide legal Guardianship certificates to Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability (formerly Mental Retardation) and Multiple Disabilities in every District.
During the meeting, 11 applications Seeking the issuance of legal Guardianship certificates were Placed before the District Magistrate and other committee members. After detailed consideration, the committee approved the issuance of legal Guardianship Certificates to the Parents/Guardians of the concerned Beneficiaries.
The District Magistrate also directed the concerned officials to ensure the expeditious disposal of all Pending applications available on the online Portal.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Bhal Chandra Tripathi, District Disability Empowerment Officer Ashish Kumar Singh, Deputy Collector Vivek Bhadoria, District Agriculture Officer Vivek Dubey, Additional Chief Medical Officer Tikam Singh and representatives of voluntary Organizations.
