“I commend the Development Work undertaken by the PM across the country, including in Kashi,” says Energy Minister.
Sachin Malik Lucknow: On the first day of the legislative budget session, members of the Samajwadi Party staged an inappropriate Protest inside and outside the House, including against the reconstruction work at Manikarnika Ghat in Kashi.
In this regard, Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K Sharma strongly condemned the opposition actions, stating that the attempt by Samajwadi Party MLA to Prevent the Governor from speaking by shouting slogans in the House on the first day of the session was highly reprehensible and unfortunate. This act is not only contrary to the dignity of a constitutional office but, especially given that it was directed at a female Governor, it is a blatant violation of democratic norms. He expressed his gratitude to the Governor, saying that despite all the disruptions, she completed her address with great Patience, which reflects her respect for Parliamentary traditions.
Opposition to the Development of Kashi, including Manikarnika Ghat, is an attack on Sanatan Dharma: Minister A.K Sharma
Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K Sharma said that the protest by Samajwadi Party MLA against the construction and development work at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi on the first day of the session reflects their negative Politics. He clarified that improving the facilities at Manikarnika Ghat is a necessity. Given the growing population and the increasing number of people coming for last rites, the expansion and streamlining of facilities are essential.
Minister Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi deep faith in Sanatan culture and his respect for Lokmata Rani Ahilyabai Holkar are well-known. The naming of institutions after Ahilyabai Holkar and the grand celebrations of her 300th birth anniversary across the country are Proof of this. He said that those who lack any substantive issues are the ones who oppose every development project. Whether it is the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor or the development of Manikarnika Ghat—all these projects are strengthening the cultural glory of Kashi. He wholeheartedly commends the unprecedented development taking place across the country, including in Kashi, under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
