Sachin Malik Lucknow: In view of the reported cases of Swine flu in Uttar Pradesh, the State Health Department has Gone on high alert. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has taken the Situation seriously and directed officials to further Strengthen the surveillance system across the State. He has issued a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health and the Director General of Health, directing them to ensure continuous review and effective monitoring of swine flu cases. The letter has also been issued to the concerned Authorities.
The Deputy Chief Minister has directed officials to keep a Close watch on swine flu-related cases in all districts of the State. He also instructed that the condition of suspected and infected Patients arriving at hospitals be monitored regularly and that immediate treatment be ensured Wherever required. Health officials have been asked to continuously review the availability of resources, as well as testing and treatment arrangements at Hospitals.
The Deputy Chief Minister specifically directed officials to ensure the timely identification of critically ill Patients and Provide them with immediate medical treatment. He said such Patients Should be identified before their condition deteriorates and Provided with the necessary medical facilities so that serious situations can be managed Effectively.
He also directed officials to further Strengthen surveillance systems in hospitals and ensure effective reporting and follow-up of swine flu cases. District health officials have been instructed to regularly review the situation in their respective areas and take immediate action whenever Necessary.
Patients Should Not Face Any Difficulty in Treatment
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that all necessary arrangements are available in hospitals across the State and that the Health Department is fully Prepared to deal with any situation. He directed officials to ensure that essential medicines, testing facilities and treatment arrangements in hospitals remain fully functional.
He Stressed that Patients should not face any difficulty in receiving treatment and that those in need must Get medical care on time. He said health department teams are continuously monitoring the Situation. Information received from districts regarding swine flu cases is being reviewed and health arrangements will be further Strengthened as Required.
Appeal to the Public: Do Not Panic, Stay Alert
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak appealed to the People of the State not to Panic over swine flu. He said the Government is fully Prepared and the Health Department is continuously reviewing the Situation.
He urged People to remain alert while avoiding rumours and unnecessary fear. He appealed to citizens to seek medical advice Promptly if they experience any health-related Problems.
At the same time, officials and medical teams have been directed to work with full Preparedness and ensure timely and Quality healthcare for Patients. The Deputy Chief Minister made it Clear that the State Government Priority is to Provide every citizen with safe, accessible and timely healthcare Services.
