CM Yogi Reviews Situation of farmers affected by unseasonal Rain

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the Situation of farmers affected by unseasonal rainfall in several districts of the State on Wednesday. He sought reports from District Magistrates regarding the difficulties being faced by farmers due to the untimely Rain.

 

Directing Officials to remain on alert, the Chief Minister said, farmers affected by adverse weather must not face hardship and that farmers’ welfare remains a top Priority for the government. He instructed officials to assess the damage to crops, compile complete data and ensure that relief is Provided to farmers at the Earliest.

 

CM Yogi directed, the revenue department, agriculture department and insurance companies Should conduct an immediate joint survey of crop damage and inform the government so that compensation can be Provided without delay.

 

He Stated, the government Stands firmly with the people of the State in every disaster. Crops had also been affected by recent rainfall and compensation for those losses is already being Provided.

 

He directed that damage caused by the latest rainfall Should also be assessed Promptly. He instructed officials to act with sensitivity in the interest of farmers and ensure that they do not face any Inconvenience.

 

Chief Minister directed all District Magistrates to be available in the field, assess the ground situation and carry out a realistic evaluation of crop damage in affected areas so that timely assistance can be Provided to Farmers.

 

He also Instructed the Principal Secretary Agriculture and the Relief Commissioner to maintain direct contact with field officials and ensure coordination. All information Should be collected and submitted to the government in a timely manner so that relief operations can Proceed without Delay.

 

He further directed that the Process of compensation distribution Should begin immediately after the assessment of crop losses is received. The Payment Process Should be carried out in a time bound manner so that farmers affected by adverse weather receive relief at the Earliest.
