Sachin Malik Lucknow: A meeting of the High-Level Empowered Committee (HLEC) under the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2022 was held under the Chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal.
Taking a significant Step towards Promoting industrial investment and Generating large-Scale employment opportunities in the State, the Chief Secretary approved Proposals for issuing Letters of Comfort (LOC) to eight industrial Projects with a combined investment of ₹4,104.82 crore. These Projects had already received recommendations from the Evaluation Committee for Letters of Comfort through the Online Incentive Management System (OIMS) Portal.
The approved Projects include investments under the Mega and Super Mega categories. Prominent Proposals include APL Apollo Tubes Limited ₹320-crore Project in Gorakhpur, Terrestrial Food Processors Private Limited ₹277.30-crore Project in Amroha and Ultratech Cement Limited ₹738-crore Project in Lalitpur.
Other approved Projects include Shukra Pharmaceuticals Ltd ₹587.50-crore Project in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Goodluck India Limited ₹268.67-crore Project in Bulandshahr, G.K. Windings Wires Limited ₹381.14-crore Project in Hathras, Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Ltd ₹539.83-crore Project in Baghpat and Alpex Solar Limited ₹992.38-crore Project in Mathura.
The approval of these Proposals is expected to boost large-scale industrial investment in Uttar Pradesh, while contributing to the expansion of the manufacturing sector, development of industrial infrastructure and creation of direct and indirect employment Opportunities.
The State Government is focusing on creating an investor-friendly environment, ensuring speedy implementation of Projects, and Providing eligible industrial units with incentives in accordance with the Provisions of the Policy.
The approved Projects are expected to accelerate industrial activity across several sectors, Particularly manufacturing, cement, Pharmaceuticals, food Processing, wires and Electrical Products, dairy and Solar Energy.
The meeting was attended by Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary State Tax Kamini Ratan Chauhan, Principal Secretary Stamps and Registration Amit Gupta, CEO Invest UP Vijay Kiran Anand and other senior Officials.
