Sachin malik: In the Presence of Mayor Sunita Dayal and Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, the committee constituted to review the rent of 1702 shops under the Municipal Corporation took a decision, which was approved in the House meeting. The decision has brought relief to traders. The Mayor, Municipal Commissioner and all committee members were honored by the House and the decision was widely appreciated.
Committee members included Councillor Bhagwan Agarwal, Councillor Manoj Tyagi, Councillor Ajay Sharma, Councillor Udit Mohan, Councillor Sanjay Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Jung Bahadur Yadav, Additional Municipal Commissioner Avnindra Kumar, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Pallavi Singh, Chief Engineer N.K. Chaudhary, and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Anuj Singh. The House thanked them for taking a decision in the interest of traders.
Out of the 1,702 shops, 78 shops in Ramanuj Dayal Market (D Block) and 19 shops in C Block Market, Kavi Nagar, whose premium had already been deposited, will be brought under the house tax category after verification of documents. Thus, 97 shops will be included under the house tax system. Shopkeepers expressed gratitude to the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation officials and committee Members.
In addition, the rent of 1,605 shops has been reduced by approximately 50%, as decided by the committee. Traders thanked the committee for this decision. During the House meeting, Councillors Rajeev Sharma, Praveen Chaudhary, Sheetal, Om Prakash And other councillors Present approved the committee decision and expressed their Appreciation.
The Mayor and the Municipal Commissioner stated that discussions regarding the rent of these 1702 shops had been ongoing for nearly a year between the Municipal Corporation and the traders. Previously, very low rent was being charged, which had been increased earlier. However, after hearing the concerns of the shopkeepers, a committee was formed to review the matter and arrive at a balanced decision, which has now been welcomed by both traders and the House.
After revising the increased rent, the following rates have been fixed:
Vijay Nagar D Block –15 shops: ₹3,000
Near Vijay Nagar Office – 13 shops: ₹3,000
City Zone (407 shops) including Old Tehsil, Town Hall, Old Vegetable Market, Subhash Market Etc:
Ground Floor: ₹4,000
First Floor: ₹2,000
Kiosks: ₹3,000
Other areas:
Nehru Nagar – 14 shops: ₹4,000
Patel Marg – 28 shops: ₹4,000
Sahani Police Chowki, Meerut Road – 27 shops: ₹2,500
Navyug Market Mini – 19 shops: ₹3,000
Ganda Nala Area – 32 shops: ₹3,000
Ghukna, Meerut Road – 13 shops: ₹2,000
Meerut Road Industrial Area – 8 shops: ₹2,000

These rent rates have been finalized as per the committee decision and approved by the Municipal House.
