Former Minister Mukut Bihari Verma honored the winners
Rahul Bahraich: The assembly-level MLA Sports Competition was successfully concluded in the grounds of Ramakrishna Paramahansa Degree College. The event was organized under the aegis of the Youth Welfare and Regional Development Department. The coordination was handled by Regional Youth Welfare Officer Vinamra Shukla and the program was conducted by social worker and teacher V.P. Singh.
At the inaugural ceremony, MLA representative Vikas Yadav and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Akhilesh Singh garlanded the idol of Goddess Saraswati and lit the lamp, thus commencing the competition. The program began with a grand start with the release of colorful balloons.
At the closing ceremony, the chief guest, former Cabinet Minister Mukut Bihari Verma, presented certificates of appreciation, medals and shields to the winners. He said that sports are not only essential for physical development but also cultivate discipline, team spirit and mental health in the youth. A healthy body and a sharp mind are the foundation of the development of society and the nation.
Police Circle Officer D.K. Srivastava, BJP District Vice President Subed Verma, Mandal President Shivanand Singh and other office bearers and social workers were present at the event. Competitions in athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, long jump and high jump were held in the sub-junior, junior and senior categories for both boys and girls. The winning players were honored by the guests, and they were wished a bright future. The presence of the Block Development Officer, teachers, social workers and hundreds of local citizens made the event even more memorable.
