New Delhi :The investigation into the ‘white-collar terror module’ busted in Faridabad and Delhi car blast has revealed that Dr Shaheen played the central role in the plan. Recovered handwritten diaries and digital evidence have revealed that Dr Shaheen — referred to by the suspects as ‘Madam Surgeon’ — was preparing coordinated strikes on six Indian cities under the ‘D-6’ plan.
According to agencies, Shaheen was self-radicalised before being cultivated by handlers, who leveraged her medical background and promised overseas placement. The documents outline her involvement in target selection, recruitment, fund movement and secure communication, placing her at the core of the multi-city terror conspiracy now under investigation.
The agencies are trying to figure out the six cities that were targets of the terrorists.
Dr Shaheen Sayeed was arrested following the recovery of a huge amount of ammonium nitrate and a cache of arms and ammunition from Faridabad. Hours after police busted the terror module with links to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, and arrested eight people, including Dr Shaheen doctors, a high-intensity blast ripped through a slow-moving car near Delhi’s Red Fort area, killing 13 people and injuring several others.
Initial investigation had revealed that Delhi blast mastermind, Dr Umar Nabi, had intended to carry out a “spectacular attack” around December 6 to ‘avenge the demolition of the Babri Masjid.’ However, his plan collapsed following the arrest of all suspects linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror modules, which largely comprised doctors.

Amir had come to Delhi to allegedly facilitate the purchase of the car, which was eventually used as a “vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (IED)” to trigger the blast, the NIA said.
This was the first time the probe agency has described Dr Umar Un Nabi, who was behind the wheel when the car exploded near the Red Fort on November 10, as a “suicide bomber”. Also, NIA has for the first time used the term “vehicle-borne IED” for the car.
The NIA has forensically established the identity of the deceased driver of the “vehicle-borne IED” as Umar Un Nabi, a resident of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir and an assistant professor in the general medicine department of Al Falah University in Faridabad.
