Sachin Malik: The 10th Meeting of the Uttar Pradesh CAMPA Steering Committee was held today under the Chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal.
During the meeting, the committee approved the digital Annual Operation Plan for the year 2026-27 with a work Plan amounting to Rs 20,801.27 lakh. The allocated funds will be utilized for compensatory afforestation, watershed treatment Plans and other environmental and forest conservation-related Works.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary also released the Annual Report of Uttar Pradesh CAMPA for the year 2024-25. On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity (May 22, 2026), he was Presented with a memento and a Sapling.
Earlier in the meeting, the committee was informed about the Progress of the annual operation Plans of Uttar Pradesh CAMPA from 2019-20 to 2024-25 after the implementation of the CAF Act, 2016 and CAF Rules, 2018. It was Stated that under the compensatory Plantation category, a total of 125.51 lakh saplings have been Planted from 2019 to 2025, While a target of Planting 18.03 lakh saplings has been set for the current Year.
The meeting was also informed that 98.40 Percent Polygons corresponding to compensatory Plantations carried out during the monsoon seasons from 2011 to 2025 and non-compensatory Plantations undertaken from 2016 to 2022 have been uploaded on the E-Green Watch Portal, ensuring transparency and digital monitoring of the Works.
The CAMPA Steering Committee had earlier approved an annual operation Plan of Rs 17,610.70 lakh for the year 2025-26, against which Rs 16,433.73 lakh has been spent during the financial year 2025-26. A Photographic Presentation Showcasing the current Status of various works being carried out under Uttar Pradesh CAMPA was also made during the Meeting.
Officials informed that third-Party monitoring of all works carried out under Uttar Pradesh CAMPA from 2011-12 to 2022-23 is also being conducted to ensure impartial evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the Schemes.

Priyadarshi, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Department Sunil Chaudhary, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Anuradha Vemuri, CAMPA CEO Lalit Kumar Verma, Along With Other Senior Officials.
