Sachin Malik: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Government is Continuously working to equip Young People with modern technology, industry-oriented Dkills and employment-focused training. Reviewing departmental Progress at his office in the Vidhan Bhavan on Monday, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal said the Government objective is to empower every Youth with employable Skills and Provide better opportunities for employment and Self-Employment. He directed officials to ensure the timely, transparent and high-Quality implementation of all departmental Schemes.
The minister instructed officials to conduct regular reviews of all Schemes at both the district and headquarters levels and to continuously monitor the Performance of every training centre. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on the Quality of training and directed every officer to discharge their responsibilities with complete accountability and sensitivity. Any negligence in implementing Skill development Programmes, he said, would not be Tolerated.
Highlighting the Changing needs of the job market, Agarwal called for the introduction of more Short-term and employment-oriented Skill courses. He also directed that training Programmes Should include Soft Skills, digital learning, communication Skills, interview Preparation, resume writing and Personality development to further enhance the employability of Trainees.
The minister said the Yogi Government objective is not only to Provide training but also to connect trained Youth with employment opportunities. He instructed the department to Strengthen coordination with industries and design training Programmes according to the requirements of local industries. He also directed that information about job fairs organised at Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) and Skill development institutions Should be widely disseminated so that every interested candidate Gets an opportunity to secure employment based on their Qualifications and Interests.
The meeting also reviewed the Skill development Programmes being conducted in Atal Residential Schools, where Students are receiving modern, Skill-based training. Officials informed the minister that Skill development courses would also be launched in Ashram Paddhati Schools from next month, enabling Students from Socially and economically weaker Sections to acquire technical Skills.
Agarwal instructed officials to widely Publicise the success Stories of trained Youth. Videos, testimonials and achievements of Successful trainees Should be Shared through Social media and other Platforms to inspire more Young People to Join Skill development Programmes.
The Skill Development Minister also Stressed the need to Promote training in advanced technologies Such as robotics, automation, CNC, digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0. He emphasized Strengthening Partnerships with industries, regularly updating training materials and Preparing Students according to real industrial work Environments.
During the meeting, departmental officials Presented a detailed review of the Progress of various Schemes, training Programmes, Placement initiatives, industry Partnerships, digital Platforms, training Partners, infrastructure Projects and future action Plans. Discussions also focused on expanding institutional capacity, enhancing online services, evaluating the Performance of training Partners and ensuring the timely completion of Pending Works.
Kapil Dev Agarwal said that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the department is fully committed to making Uttar Pradesh the country leading State in Skilled human resources. He added that ensuring the benefits of every Scheme reach the last Person, Providing every trained Youth with employment or Self-Employment opportunities and supplying Skilled manpower for the State industrial Growth remain the Yogi Government highest Priorities.
