Sachin Malik Lucknow: A weekly review meeting of all Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates was held through Video Conferencing under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal.
The Chief Secretary informed the officials that the UP International Trade Show-2026 will be organised from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. For this Prestigious mega event, Participation of more than 2,400 Exhibitors, 1.5 lakh B2B visitors and 4.50 lakh B2C visitors has been Targeted.
The Chief Secretary directed all Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates to ensure extensive Publicity of the event in their respective districts through Newspapers, Electronic media, Social Media, hoardings, bus and auto-rickshaw Posters, and radio Jingles. He emphasised encouraging industrial and trade organisations, as well as Students of universities and colleges, to Participate in the event so that maximum buyers and members of the General Public can attend. He also directed that special attention be Given to the divisions and districts in the vicinity of Greater Noida.
In addition, the Chief Secretary issued directions for the effective implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme. He said that District Magistrates Should hold regular review meetings with the General Managers of District Industries Centres and the concerned officials. He emphasised Strengthening coordination between industries and Government departments to Provide local Youth with Skill development and employment opportunities. He also issued Strict directions to ensure that the targets for apprenticeship registration and Placements are achieved within the Stipulated Time.
