Sachin Malik: Uttar Pradesh Energy, Additional Energy Sources, and Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma has Said that ensuring the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana reach every Eligible household at the earliest is the Government top Priority. He directed all concerned departments, banks and vendors to work in Close coordination and immediately resolve any obstacles affecting the Implementation of the Scheme.
Chairing a review meeting of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana at the Circuit House auditorium in Varanasi, Minister Sharma conducted A detailed assessment of the Scheme Progress, achievements and future action Plan. During the meeting, he interacted directly with vendors working in Varanasi district to understand the Challenges being faced at the Ground level and instructed officials to ensure their Prompt Resolution.
The minister directed the Power department to expedite the installation of Pre-Configured meters and Prioritize the configuration of already Installed meters So that beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience. He emphasized that unnecessary delays in technical Processes adversely affect the Pace of the Scheme and would not be tolerated under any Circumstances.
Sharma also instructed officials from various banks to make the loan approval Process under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme Simpler, more transparent and time-bound. He said that only essential documents Should be sought from Eligible applicants and that no application Should be rejected without valid Justification. Easy access to financial assistance, he noted, is a Key factor in the success of the Scheme.
The minister expressed Satisfaction over the outstanding Performance of UPNEDA during April and May, which secured a top national ranking in Solar Energy Installations. He Credited this achievement to the Collective efforts of Vendors, consumers, district administrations, and concerned departments and congratulated all Stakeholders.
He Stated that through the PM Surya Ghar Scheme, Uttar Pradesh is rapidly advancing toward a Cleaner and Greener Energy future. All departments and institutions must work with full commitment to achieve the Goal of making Uttar Pradesh the number one State in the country under the Scheme. This will not only reduce Electricity expenses for citizens but also Strengthen environmental Protection and energy Self-Reliance.
During the meeting, Minister A.K. Sharma distributed certificates to “Solar Didis” and Stressed the need for extensive awareness campaigns and Greater Public Participation in the Scheme.
The meeting was attended by Cantonment MLA Saurabh Srivastava, Managing Director of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited Shambhu Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal, the Director of UPNEDA, Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam, district Coordinators of various banks, Chief Manager of RECL, administrative Officers and Project Officers of UPNEDA and Other Concerned Officials.
