Minister of State for Minority Welfare Danish Azad Ansari interacted with the weaver community in Tanda.
Lucknow: In the Tanda area of Ambedkar Nagar district, the Uttar Pradesh government Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Danish Azad Ansari, interacted with representatives of the Pasmanda-weaver community and members of the weaver community as part of the “#Weavers_Ki_Baat” program. Thousands of weavers from the region enthusiastically participated in the event.
Speaking as the chief guest Minister Danish Azad Ansari said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is continuously working towards the economic and social empowerment of weavers. He explained that through the “Atal Bihari Vajpayee Powerloom Electricity Flat Rate Scheme,” the government is providing weavers with affordable electricity, which has given new impetus to their businesses.
The Minister stated that the Chief Minister has seriously considered the demand of the Pasmanda Weavers’ community for a further reduction in the flat electricity rate, and the government will soon take a concrete decision in this regard. He also stated that the state government’s objective is not merely to implement schemes, but to provide every weaver family with a self-reliant and dignified life.
The Minister also stated that the government is providing financial assistance and technical empowerment to weavers through schemes such as the Weaver Card Scheme, Weavers’ Solar Energy Scheme, and the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. He urged all weavers to take maximum advantage of these schemes and ensure their participation in the state’s economic progress.
Representatives of the weavers’ community and local citizens present on the occasion praised the government schemes and expressed their gratitude to the Minister.
