NEW DELHI : Ranveer Singh’s survival spectacle, Pralay, goes on floors. Ranveer Singh’s one of the most anticipated films, for which audiences have been waiting, is finally going on floors after a long wait. Touted to be a zombie thriller, Pralay will mark Ranveer Singh’s first major project following the grand success of his action thriller spy drama Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
The film is being shot at live locations in and around Mumbai, as the makers embrace the physicality and unpredictability of real-world environments. This approach brings heightened scale, texture and realism to a world on the brink of annihilation, creating an immersive theatrical experience. The cameras are now rolling on Pralay, which had been in highly technical and intensive pre-production for several months.
For the movie, Ranveer Singh will be joined by Kalyani Priyadarshan, who was recently seen in Lokah. The actress will make her Hindi film debut with the ambitious project. The project will be directed by Jai Mehta, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta, marking his theatrical directorial debut. Jai previously co-directed Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Lootere, and is known for his realistic storytelling style.
With Pralay, Ranveer Singh once again ventures into an unexplored cinematic landscape that is new and disruptive. Widely regarded as one of the greatest performers of his generation, Ranveer not only headlines the film but also serves as a producer, taking on a story that demands both physical intensity and emotional conviction.

Pralay is a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller set in a dystopian Mumbai ravaged by a deadly outbreak. The film follows a married couple as they fight to survive in a city overrun by chaos. Mounted on a reported budget of ₹300 crore, it is expected to be the most expensive standalone film of Ranveer’s career. The actor is also co-producing the project under his banner, Ma Kasam Films.
