NEW DELHI : The most-awaited Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is set for a worldwide release on November 5, 2026. With almost two weeks left until it hits theatres, Ramayana has locked in its digital destination. JioHotstar and producer Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios have announced a partnership to bring Ramayana: Part One to audiences after its theatrical run.
However, there is an important catch for the audiences waiting to see Ramayana at home. The movie will be available through a pay-per-view model, rather than being included in a regular streaming subscription.
Ramayana OTT Release Details: When And Where To Watch
Ramayana: Part One will be available on JioHotstar following its theatrical window. However, the makers have not confirmed when the movie will release on the OTT platform or how much audiences have to pay to watch.
In an official statement, producer Namit said, “I believe Ramayana should be experienced on the biggest screen possible, in IMAX 3D. But our country’s cinema infrastructure cannot reach everyone who holds this epic close.” He added that Ramayana belongs to every Indian, and their ambition should reflect that.
He further explained the decision about the streaming platform. “JioHotstar has time and again shown how technology can bring a nation together through its sports and entertainment offering,” he added.
Apart from him, JioStar’s Chairperson Nita M. Ambani expressed, “Ramayana is one of India’s greatest civilisational treasures. It is a story that has shaped our conscience, inspired our imagination, and guided the way we live for centuries.”
She further added, “As India enters a new era of storytelling, we have an extraordinary opportunity to carry our cultural legacy forward.”
