Sachin Malik: The 13th Governing Body meeting of the Child Health and Postgraduate Institute, Noida was held under the Chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal. During the meeting, 20 key agenda items were discussed in detail and several important decisions were taken to further Strengthen the institute medical Services, academic Programs and research Activities.
The Governing Body approved the establishment of an Emergency Department, A Department of Pediatric Pulmonology and a Department of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. To ensure the effective functioning of these departments, approval was also Granted for the creation of specialist faculty Positions along with Junior Resident and Senior Resident Posts.
The meeting also approved the creation of the required medical Posts for the introduction of Paramedical courses at the institute. In addition, Permission was Granted to launch a Pediatric Regional Anesthesia Fellowship Program under the Department of Pediatric Anesthesia. This initiative is expected to Strengthen Super-specialty medical education and training While helping develop highly Skilled healthcare Professionals.
The decisions taken by the Governing Body will Significantly expand the institute healthcare services. In Particular, Children requiring emergency and critical care treatment will have access to advanced, high-Quality and specialized medical services under one Roof. The measures will also Provide a major boost to medical education, research and academic activities at the Institute.
The Governing Body also held detailed discussions on the institute future expansion. In this regard, the Noida Authority was directed to identify Suitable land adjacent to the institute and submit a Proposal to the State Government at the earliest to facilitate the Planned and comprehensive expansion of the institute in line with future Requirements.
The meeting was attended by Amit Kumar Ghosh, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education, Dr. A.K. Singh, Director of the Institute, along with other members of the Governing Body and senior Officials.
