Chief Secretary Reviews Key Infrastructure Projects at Project Monitoring Group Meeting

Sachin Malik: Under the Chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal, a meeting of the Project Monitoring Group (PMG) was held today to review the Progress of the State major industrial and infrastructure Projects. The meeting included a detailed assessment of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA), the Film City Project and the Medical Device Park in Gautam Buddha Nagar.

The Chief Secretary Stressed the importance of regular monitoring, timely implementation and Providing all necessary Support to investors. He directed officials to ensure that all Project Milestones are achieved within the Stipulated Timelines.

Reviewing the Progress of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA), the Chief Secretary observed that the current Pace of land acquisition is lower than the Prescribed monthly targets. He instructed officials to intensify efforts to accelerate land acquisition, Promptly resolve all Pending cases and remove Project-related bottlenecks on a Priority Basis.

He further directed that the recommendations and conditions received during the Environmental Clearance Process be incorporated into the Master Plan-2045 and submitted to the Government at the earliest after making the required Amendments.

The Chief Secretary also instructed officials to conduct a Scientific assessment of the long-term Electricity and drinking water requirements through an expert agency and to develop the necessary infrastructure in line with future Demand.

During the meeting, it was informed that 27,444 acres of land have been acquired so far. Sector Plans and utility Plot Plans for 12 sectors have been Prepared. Land has been identified for dedicated Clusters for data centres, IT, Chemical industries and defence manufacturing. An activation area of approximately 1,000 hectares is being developed along National Highway-27 (Jhansi–Shivpuri Road) for initial industrial development and land Allotment.

Reviewing the Film City Project, the Chief Secretary directed that all remaining formalities be completed at the earliest So that the foundation Stone for the Project can be laid without delay.

Officials informed the meeting that the tender Process for the construction of the Studio complex has already commenced. Along with the development of Permanent film Sets, other construction Packages are also being finalised, Giving fresh momentum to the Project. The concessionaire submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) on 30 June 2026, Which is currently being examined in accordance with the Concession Agreement, applicable rules and the Guidelines of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).

While reviewing the Medical Device Park in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the Chief Secretary directed officials to actively engage with allottees Who have not Yet commenced construction and ensure that work begins on a larger number of Plots at the earliest. He also instructed officials to expedite Procedures related to lease deeds, Possession of Plots and approval of building Plans.

The meeting was informed that 186.27 acres of land in the Medical Device Park have been earmarked for industrial units. So far, 123 Plots have been allotted. Among these, 60 allottees have taken Possession of their Plots, While construction has commenced on 23 Plots.

In addition, 90 investors have submitted lease Plans, 77 lease deeds have been executed and the authority has approved building Plans for 35 industrial units. Officials are coordinating with the remaining allottees to accelerate construction Activities.

Principal Secretary (Planning) Alok Kumar attended the meeting in Person, While senior officials of the concerned authorities Participated through video Conferencing.
