New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 board examination results. Students who appeared for the intermediate exams can check and download their marksheets via the official websites, cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in, using their login credentials: roll number, admit card ID, date of birth, and school number. This year the overall pass percentage for CBSE class 12th students has been recorded at 85.20%. A total of 18,57,517 students registered for the class 12th exams, out of which 17,68,968 students have passed.
Looking at the district-wise performance, Trivandrum has emerged as the top performing district, with an overall pass percentage of 95.62%.
If the official website breaks down, there is no need to panic, as the board allows result-checking via SMS, DigiLocker, the UMANG application, and IVRS as well.
CBSE 12th Result 2026: What are passing marks?
In order to be considered passed, you need to score a minimum of 33 percent in each subject and in aggregate. Students who fail to secure the minimum qualifying marks in one or two subjects will be placed in the supplementary category. Whereas those who fail to clear more than two subjects will have to repeat the entire session.
CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: CBSE Marksheet Availability Till When?
CBSE Class 12 result marksheets will only be available at the online portals till July 31, 2026. Therefore, students are advised to download it before the last date.
CBSE Grade 12 Result 2026: Are Online CBSE Marksheets Original?
No! Students must note that the digital CBSE Class 12 result marksheets are provisional. They will have to collect the original scorecard and pass certificates from their school authorities later.
CBSE Class 12th Result 2026: Will CBSE Class 12 Second Board Exams be Held?
No, unlike Class 10, intermediate students do not have the opportunity to apply for second board examinations held in the same year. However, they do have alternatives like CBSE Class 12 compartment exams and CBSE Class 12 improvement exams that almost serve the same purpose, but they have their own limitations. As per the official data released, supplementary examinations will be conducted on July 15, 2026. This would be a single-day examination.
