Sonamukhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a massive public rally in Sonamukhi, West Bengal on Sunday. He strongly attacked the Congress, Left parties, and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).

He said that under TMC rule, Bengal has witnessed widespread violence. “Our worker Suman was shot dead. Houses of Swarup Ghosh, Palash Ghosh, and Utpal Das were destroyed. Sushobhan hand was chopped off. There are countless examples of TMC’ hooliganism,” he said.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of Bengal, saying that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, bringing a BJP government in West Bengal would create a “double-engine government” that would eliminate rioters. “Only the BJP government has the solution to Trinamool and Leftist hooliganism,” he added.

“Mamta silent on killing of Dalit Hindu in Bangladesh”

Yogi Adityanath said that a Dalit Hindu was brutally killed in Bangladesh recently. “The BJP protested against it, but Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remained silent, fearing loss of Muslim votes,” he alleged.

He accused opposition parties of vote-bank politics and said they were trying to alter Bengal demography. He also alleged that these parties create obstacles during Navratri celebrations.

“Bengal has started moving on the Path of Change”

The Chief Minister remembered great personalities like Rabindranath Tagore and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. He said “Vande Mataram” awakened national consciousness and united India during the freedom struggle.

“It is Sad to see Bengal condition”

He said Bengal was once a land of spirituality, culture, and industry, contributing significantly to India GDP. However, according to him, Congress, Left Parties and TMC have weakened the state over time.

He also remembered freedom fighters like Khudiram Bose and Subhas Chandra Bose, along with spiritual leaders like Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

“Bengal today is like UP was 9 years ago”

Yogi Adityanath compared current West Bengal with pre-2017 Uttar Pradesh, saying that earlier UP faced riots and lawlessness, but after BJP came to Power, the state saw improvement in law and order.

“Farmers exploited under TMC government”

He claimed that farmers in Bengal are not getting fair prices. “In Uttar Pradesh, potato farmers get ₹15–16 per kg, while here they get only ₹1–1.5 per kg,” he said, alleging that farmers are forced into debt and distress.

“Wherever BJP governs, every section is respected”

He concluded by saying that BJP-ruled states ensure infrastructure development, employment opportunities, women’s safety, and farmer welfare. He urged voters to support BJP candidates and bring change in Bengal.
