New Delhi: Avengers: Endgame Encore maintained its momentum at the Indian box office on Saturday, with its second-day collection surpassing its opening-day earnings. The special theatrical version of Marvel’s 2019 blockbuster has now moved close to the Rs 15 crore mark within two days.

According to Sacnilk, Avengers: Endgame Encore collected an estimated Rs 7.65 crore on its second day in theatres. The film had opened with Rs 7.25 crore, taking its two-day total to Rs 14.90 crore.
The Saturday growth keeps the re-release on a strong footing as it heads further into its opening weekend. The film’s performance also puts the spotlight on how far it can climb among successful theatrical re-releases in India.
Baahubali: The Epic remains among the notable performers in this space, having reportedly collected Rs 52.15 crore worldwide during its 2025 re-release. Sanam Teri Kasam reportedly made around Rs 39 crore during its return to cinemas, while Tumbbad collected approximately Rs 37.5 crore.
New edition gives fans another reason to return
The Encore edition offers more than a chance to revisit the climactic chapter of Marvel’s Infinity Saga on the big screen. The version includes roughly five minutes of additional footage spread across four scenes.
Audiences also get an extended ending along with three post-credit sequences, adding fresh material to a film originally released in 2019.
Ahead of the re-release, directors Joe and Anthony Russo urged moviegoers not to disclose the newly added surprises.
“One last request. There are some new surprises in Avengers Endgame: Encore. Please don’t spoil them for everyone else. Give them the same opportunity to discover those surprises that you had,” they wrote.
The Russo Brothers also looked back at the original release and recalled secretly watching an opening-night screening alongside fans.
“The most emotional night of our careers was sneaking into theatres on opening night of Avengers Endgame. We stood in the back and watched a thousand strangers react — the gasps, the cheers, the tears. We got chills. And may have shed a tear or two ourselves,” they wrote.
