NEW DELHI: Veteran actor Anupam Kher has achieved yet another milestone in his shining acting career of more than four decades in Bollywood by announcing his landmark ‘555th’ film on Monday.
Anupam took to Instagram on Monday and shared a poster that revealed that he will be officially doing his 555th film. However, the actor refrained from giving out further details and stated that he will share more about the project later.
The poster read, “Happy to announce my landmark 555th film. That’s all I’m saying fro now. More-at the right time. Anupam Kher.”
He further wrote in the caption, “ANNOUNCEMENT!! Some things are better kept close to the heart for a little while!! Because the joy of revealing them at the right time is something else! So, for now, all I will say is: I am delighted to announce my landmark 555th film. Details at the right time. Till then, please allow me to enjoy the suspense too! Jai Ho!”
The announcement marks another significant chapter in a career that began with Mahesh Bhatt’s Saaransh in 1984. Anupam, now 71, has spent more than four decades in the industry and has worked across multiple film industries and languages.
Over the years, the actor has also become a familiar face on social media, where he regularly shares glimpses of his personal and professional life. He recently grabbed attention after a dance video featuring him and his Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 co-stars went viral on social media.
Anupam already has several interesting projects lined up. He is reportedly set to feature in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where he has been confirmed to lend his voice to the character of Jatayu.
The actor has also recently wrapped up the shoot of Yeh Prem Mol Liya, directed by Sooraj Barjatya. He will next be seen in the much-awaited Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, returning to a film that remains one of the memorable titles in his career.
Apart from acting, Anupam is also expanding his work as a producer. He is set to return to Bengali cinema as a producer after 26 years with Shuru Theke Shuru, which he is backing alongside producer Firdausal Hasan.
