Ajit Singh Delhi: A Special Street Play on road Safety awareness was organised at Lal Quarter Market Chowk in Krishna Nagar under the ‘Surakshit Safar’ Road Safety Awareness Programme, Jointly organised by Yug Sanskriti Nyas and EFKON STRABAG, in association with the Delhi Police and Delhi Traffic Police. Hundreds of People Participated in the Programme.
The event began with a Street Play highlighting important road Safety issues. The expert Street theatre team of Yug Sanskriti Nyas used engaging Performances to spread awareness about overspeeding, negligent driving, driving by minors and Violation of traffic Rules.
Through dialogues, acting and creative Performances, the artists conveyed that following traffic rules is not merely a legal obligation but also a matter of Personal Safety and Social responsibility. Citizens were encouraged to remain alert and adopt responsible behaviour while using Roads.
Following the Street Play, the Delhi Traffic Police team conducted a road Safety awareness session. The team briefed the Public about traffic rules, Safe road behaviour and the responsibility of every individual towards road Safety. Through an interactive session, citizens were encouraged to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations Responsibly.
To make the Programme more interactive, the Yug Sanskriti Nyas team asked the audience basic Questions related to road Safety. Participants Who answered correctly were Given tokens of appreciation as a Gesture of encouragement. The activity ensured active Participation and helped Reinforce important road Safety messages in an Engaging Manner.
The Programme was organised under the Guidance of ACP Sanjay Kumar, Traffic In-Charge Gandhi Nagar Circle Delhi Police and SI Ajay Kumar, Eastern Bal Bhawan Zone. The Programme was led by Rajat Chaturvedi on behalf of Yug Sanskriti Nyas.
People attending the Programme appreciated the Street Play and awareness Session, describing them as informative, impactful and Entertaining.
The initiative under the ‘Surakshit Safar’ Road Safety Awareness Programme aimed to take important road Safety messages to the Public through creative and Participatory methods. The Programme emphasised that responsible behaviour by every individual on the road is essential not only for their own Safety but also for the Safety of all other road Users.
