Ajit Singh Delhi: In a bid to Streamline traffic movement and curb road accidents in the national capital, the Delhi Traffic Police has intensified Enforcement against traffic rule violations. A special General Patrolling Drive is being conducted every evening between 5 PM and 8 PM to keep a close watch on traffic Violators.
Traffic Police Teams Deployed Across Eastern Range
As Part of the campaign, traffic Police teams from the Eastern Range were seen actively deployed on major roads, busy intersections and key traffic Points. Police Personnel conducted Checking of vehicles and Stopped motorists found violating traffic Rules.
Drivers found violating traffic regulations were issued E-Challans on the spot, While Police Personnel also counselled motorists on the importance of following road Safety Rules.
Strict Action Against Traffic Violations
During the special evening patrol, the traffic Police focused on several common violations, Including:
– Driving two-Wheelers without helmets
– Wrong-Side driving
– Overspeeding
– Use of illegal black films on Vehicle Windows
Motorists driving without helmets were Challaned, while those driving on the wrong side of the road were Subjected to Strict action. Vehicles found using illegal black films were also Checked and the films were removed on the spot.
The traffic Police also took action against Vehicles involved in overspeeding and other violations that could Pose a risk to road Users.
Focus on Road Safety and Public Awareness
The special General Patrolling Drive is not limited to issuing Challans. Traffic Police Personnel are also Stopping motorists and making them aware of the importance of following traffic Rules.
The drive has been conducted across all traffic circles under the Eastern Range, with enforcement against black film violations, overspeeding, wrong-side driving and riding without Helmets.
The objective of the campaign is not merely to impose fines but also to encourage responsible driving and create Greater awareness about road Safety. The Delhi Traffic Police aims to ensure that motorists follow traffic regulations so that both drivers and their families remain safe on the Roads.
