Sachin Malik: As Per the directions of the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, a tabletop Coordination meeting was held in the Collectorate auditorium under the Chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Priyanka regarding the State-level mock exercise Scheduled to be Conducted in the district on September 18, 2026, focusing on earthquake, industrial Chemical and fire Safety Emergencies.
The meeting aimed to assess the usefulness of the response mechanism, Strengthen Coordination among various Stakeholders for emergency assistance and identify Gaps in resources, communication systems and response capabilities so that necessary improvements could be made. The departmental disaster management Plans of the concerned departments were also reviewed and the roles of various Stakeholders under the Incident Response System (IRS) were Tested.
The mock exercise will be conducted at three locations in Gautam Buddh Nagar:
Fire Emergency: Sharda Hospital, Greater Noida.
Earthquake Emergency: The Radiation School, Neemka, Jewar.
CBRN/Industrial Chemical Emergency: Highly Hazardous Factory, Haier Appliances India Pvt. Ltd., Greater Noida.
During the meeting, officials discussed Preparations for the mock drill. Deliberations were also held on the Proposed Scenarios, rescue operations and ways to ensure the Successful conduct of the Exercise.
SDM Dadri Abhinendra Singh, Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar, Assistant Director Sandeep Kumar, Additional Chief Medical Officer Pawan Kumar, NDRF Inspector Hemant Kumar, ITBP Inspector Rajeev Kumar Sharma, District Disaster Expert Omkar Chaturvedi, along with officials of the concerned departments and managers of the factory, hospital and School, were Present at the Meeting.
