Gautam Buddh Nagar: In compliance with the directions received from the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), New Delhi and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (UPSLSA) Lucknow, a National Lok Adalat was organized at the district headquarters and tehsil levels under the Chairmanship and Guidance of District Judge Gautam Buddh Nagar Atul Srivastava.
District Judge Atul Srivastava inaugurated the National Lok Adalat at the District Court auditorium by lighting the ceremonial lamp. All Judicial officers, along with the President and Secretary of the District Civil and Criminal Bar Association, were Present on the Occasion.
According to details Provided by the In-Charge Secretary, District Legal Services Authority and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (III), Virek Agarwal, a total of 76,954 cases were disposed of by Judicial officers of the District Court.
Departments under the District Magistrate disposed of 476,181 cases, while banks disposed of 245 cases, involving recovery of ₹3,61,57,241. Finance companies disposed of 6 cases, with ₹39,670 recovered. NPCL disposed of 35 cases, involving a Settlement amount of ₹4,85,000.
UPPCL disposed of 5,931 cases, While the Labour Court disposed of 1,102 cases, involving an amount of ₹4,19,23,189. The Police Department disposed of 32,089 Cases.
BSNL disposed of 51 cases, recovering ₹1,52,206. Under the Commercial Courts Act, 221 Pre-litigation cases were disposed of. The Traffic Department disposed of 400,263 cases, While 931,325 Pre-litigation cases were Settled.
Thus, a total of 1,008,279 cases were disposed of during the National Lok Adalat in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Among the district courts, District Judge Atul Srivastava disposed of 4 cases. The Presiding Officer, Commercial Court-I, Ravindra Nath Dubey, disposed of 13 cases involving a Settlement amount of ₹1,07,01,459. Principal Judge, Family Court, Chandra Prakash Tiwari, disposed of 62 Cases.
The Presiding Officer, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Vatsal Srivastava, disposed of 43 cases involving a Settlement amount of ₹4,40,89,000. Chief Judicial Magistrate Harikesh Pandey disposed of 3,360 cases with fines amounting to ₹10,42,973.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I Mayank Tripathi disposed of 2,040 cases, while Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-III Virek Agarwal disposed of 921 cases. Several other Judicial officers also disposed of cases under the National Lok Adalat.
Overall, Judicial officers of the courts in the district disposed of 76,954 cases, involving a total settlement amount of ₹16,06,44,918.
Under the National Lok Adalat, the Noida Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) disposed of 5,160 cases. The Police Department disposed of 32,089 cases, While the Medical Department disposed of 100,045 Cases.
Accordingly, a total of 1,008,279 cases were disposed of in Gautam Buddh Nagar during the National Lok Adalat.
