Sushma Rani Delhi: The Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI) organised the ‘India and BRICS+ Economic Relations Dialogue’ in New Delhi ahead of India BRICS Presidency and the upcoming BRICS Summit. The event brought together diplomats, international trade representatives, GTTCI members and experts to discuss trade, investment, technology cooperation and future Partnerships.
GTTCI Founder Chairman Dr. Gaurav Gupta highlighted the expanding role of BRICS in connecting economies of the Global South. He emphasised trade, resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability as key Pillars of BRICS and Stressed the need to convert dialogue into business opportunities and investment Partnerships.
Diplomatic representatives from the embassies of Egypt, Eritrea, Mauritania and China, along with international representatives from Ethiopia and Germany, Participated in the Programme. Song Bo, Counsellor at the Embassy of China, was also Present.
Former Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi, in her keynote address, highlighted the importance of India traditional ‘thali’ System, Pointing to food diversity, nutrition, food Security and Sustainability. Representing Brazil, Roberto Carlos Papa, Agricultural Attache at the Embassy of Brazil in India, spoke about opportunities to Strengthen agricultural and economic cooperation between India and Brazil.
GTTCI Advisor and National Human Rights Commission Member Ambassador Dr. Gyaneshwar M. Mulay appreciated GTTCI efforts to bring diplomatic missions, the business community and international Stakeholders Together on a common Platform.
Evgeny Griva, Deputy Trade Commissioner of Russia, delivered a Presentation on ‘Doing Business in India’. GTTCI Director Shubham Gupta also briefed Participants about the ‘Made in Russia Pavilion’ at the INNOPROM International Business Expo, Scheduled for September 9-10.
GTTCI members and Guests, including Dheeraj Dhar Gupta, Salma Sultan and Lion Anuj Aggarwal, actively Participated in the dialogue. The Programme concluded with an emphasis on sustained engagement among Governments, diplomatic missions, businesses and institutions to create Practical avenues for international trade, investment and technology Cooperation.
