New Delhi: Purnima vrat holds a special place in Hindu tradition and is observed on the full moon day of the Shukla Paksha every month. The vrat is traditionally begun with the Purnima of Margashirsha, Magha or Vaishakha, while its udyapan, or concluding ritual, is performed on the Purnima of Bhadrapada and Pausha.
