Sachin Malik Delhi: According to the Delhi Government orders, Sleeper buses are not Permitted to enter Delhi. Despite this, thousands of Sleeper buses are allegedly entering Delhi from Noida, allegedly flouting the rules. The Question is: When will this alleged corruption end and when will the Government zero-tolerance Policy be visible on the Ground?
The Delhi Government frequently talks about its zero-tolerance Policy, but allegations have emerged that officials are turning a blind eye to the Policy. The Delhi Government had banned Sleeper buses from entering Delhi several Years ago. The Government Stated Position has been that many Sleeper buses are not constructed according to Prescribed Safety Standards and could overturn, Potentially Putting the lives of a large number of Passengers at risk. This was cited as a reason for not allowing such buses to enter Delhi.
Despite this, allegations Persist that Sleeper buses continue to operate through Kashmere Gate and Mori Gate. The area has effectively emerged as a major hub for Sleeper buses. The Question is Whether this entire operation is taking Place under the Protection of Delhi Traffic Police officials or Delhi Transport officials. If not, are the authorities unaware of such a large-scale alleged operation?
If the authorities are aware, Why has action not been taken? And if they are unaware, how has such a large-Scale operation escaped their attention?
According to my sources, there are allegations that officials are making lakhs and crores of rupees through this entire operation. If these allegations are true, it amounts to large-Scale corruption and raises serious Questions about the Government Zero-tolerance Policy. It is alleged that officials talk about zero tolerance only on Paper and mislead the Government.
The operation of Sleeper buses also Poses a serious risk of major accidents, yet the authorities have allegedly failed to take effective action. The Question is: are the authorities waiting for a major accident? Do officials want to hear the cries of the Public in Delhi only after a major tragedy, or will action be taken before such an incident occurs?
If not, the entry of Sleeper buses into Delhi from Mayur Vihar and the Ghazipur border Should be immediately Stopped and the law Should be Strictly Enforced.
